#AduItThisWay!

How do you consider yourself as a certified Adamsonian?

Let me count the ways..

  1. When you don’t feel like eating at school.. Adamsonians usually go to “Carinderia Haven”  or a.k.a Zobel Street. Affordable and delicious meals or whatever meal you want. This is the go to place.

2.  So this is actually the holy grail recommended by one of our authors. Yes this maybe a highschool thing but.. You also use this in college.

3. This is actually the product of famous food stall in the school. If you have 45 pesos you can already have a full meal with free iced tea! The food that your wallet will surely love. *drumrolls*

The Richest Man

Poverty. A word that can be seen in the dimmest streets of the city, blunt mountain tops, empty tenements, busiest districts and even in the eyes of the rich. People never realized that we are all living in poverty. We are filled with wants and demands but the truth is, it is never the measurement of how happy or wealthy one is. All these material things are only for satisfaction.

RUBBISH DUMP RECYCLING, Philippines. Poor and indigenous people, old and young, some children, work in the infamous rubbish dump 'Smokey Mountain' outside Manilla. They recycle household and public waste, collecting and separating materials such as paper, corrugated cardboard, metal, plastics. Many suffer chronic skin and asthmatic diseases as a result of close contact with burning rubbish and chemicals.

This is why everyone must meet Saint Vincent de Paul.

Saint Vincent de Paul is more than the perfect example of a wealthy man.Who else would want to serve the poor nowadays? Some will get disgusted while some prefer to ignore these unfortunate people but Saint Vincent de Paul will not.

Let us encourage each other to patronize Saint Vincent de Paul’s heart- warming values for us to be able to help not just the underprivileged but as well as ourselves. By doing this, we are teaching ourselves on how to be a moral person by learning through the experiences and lives of these people.

Saint Vincent de Paul devoted himself to God by serving the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society. As an individual, we must know that we have to help others so that we can share the same joy with everyone else.

Today, Adamson University in Manila is known for being the school for the poor because its patron Saint is Saint Vincent de Paul. The university contributes to different charities to share goods to the needy.

There is that distinct heart-warming feeling whenever we help someone and know that we may have changed his life in a little way. That compassion and charity is what makes a man rich
